I actually read the description so I knew it was a rail shooter. Unlike the other hillbillies that didnt bother.... Its fun. Good atmosphere. Worth $5 if you ask me.

As a major fan of Doom Classic, I decided to buy this. I didnt read the description because the REAL Doom was so good I thought this had to be good too. But it was a waste of my money.

This is the second game Ive wasted money on thinking I was gonna get a first person shooter like Doom classic. This is like those arcade shooters in the lobbies at the cinema. There are no maps and no brains required. Officially the last Id game I ever spend money on. They shouldnt have even called it Doom.

This game needs the support of multi tasks. Other wise Every time u switch to another program or when yr phone rings u will have to go back to yr last check point which is really annoying. Other wise this game is pretty awesome. I would definitely get the next continuously of this game if they ever make one. And for those who complain "repetitive", y dont u look at angry bird.

...but no real interaction makes this download a real disappointment. I remember the original Doom being a lot of fun and very scary but this version is basically just a movie because there are no steering options. In other words, you dont seem to have any choice how you move around within the game. You float down corridors with no choice in direction, just shooting things. Maybe I missed something (apologies if I have) but I just assumed that "left, right and forward" were a given in such games. An expensive 10 minutes...

Complete waste of money. Not made for phones No where close to the original.

The controls for this game are absolutely terrible!! You can only look straight ahead so you have to hope that the enemy is directly in front of you. If it isnt, you miss every time Whillock constantly swings back-and-forth and hits you. It doesnt matter how often I calibrate the controls, all that does is move my crosshair back to the center of the screen. You cannot aim and any other direction but the center of the screen. You cannot dodge, you cannot Ames the side or down or up. You can ONLY shoot what is directly in front of you in the very middle of the screen. This game is not worth one dollar that I spent on it. This game wouldnt be worth a pile of dog crap. I wouldnt buy this game if they paid me to take it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID. DONT BUY THIS GAME!!

The horrible part is that this is just a horrible port. Id rather play the classic doom on my iPhone, and its controls are even more complicated. This aiming system is whacked. Get it together, Unreal and Id software

Its amazing, from the monsters, to the weapons, to that funny little robot, I LOVE IT, it genuinely feels like DOOM, and its amazing, truly a must buy

This game is sooooooooo hard to control and whats with the you cant control where you go. The game just kinda leads you along???? But for .99 who cares but its just the point.

But it should have a retina display icon.

I dont have anything against rail shooter, but theyre not my cup of tea. I like a game, and I think its scarier if you control everything. This just slowly pushes you forward automatically. This game was not advertised as a rail shooter. I feel cheated. If I wanted to waste my money on a crapy fun-less ride with no real control, I could have gone to Disney Land. I thought I was purchasing a Doom game, but this is NOT Doom. It was a boring non-immersive experience.

Doom: Resurrection takes place during Doom 3 and has dialogue unlike most Doom titles. The game uses the iPhones accelerometer for aiming the weapons, so proper posture is needed for the game.

This game is a rather old game but quite a charmer for its age. I barely bought it a couple of days ago and it is worth the 5 dollars. It has an 8 level original story campaign, loads of challenge maps, and freeplay mode. Thats alot of replay value for those who can beat the game in one sitting. I beat it in a week but thats cuz I did one level each day since theyre pretty long. Its practically Doom 3 on itouch. Same graphic textures, same enemies, same audio, even the main menu brings back that awesome song from Doom 3s main menu. If your a sucker for Doom, buy now. I sure am.

Great fun but needs touch controls gyroscope is not enough

I love anything that has the id Software logo on it. Dont ever change a thing about the Doom or Quake franchise. I will be a loyal id Software fan until the day I die!
